Things just worked out that way

I just had a lovely lovely evening with 3 really good friends, happened by accident.....

At about 6pm, S & K popped in to drop off something for me that K knew I really liked. While they were here we all stepped out of the apartment for a little while and went up to the roof top of the building, S nipped down to bring up a bottle of wine from my fridge and managed to lock us all out of my apartment. With his phone and my keys and phones inside! oops

And of course I couldn't remember the number of the one person with a spare set of keys to my place. The Smoking Man. He's on speed dial of course. But not much good when my land line and mobile and Palm Pilot and wallet (with his number just in case) are all inside the apartment.

So as K and I sat on the roof top enjoying the cool clear air (well at least the Typhoon was good for something!) S ran back home to call a mutual friend to get The Smoking Man's number, who of course was in the midst of a dodgy afternoon/evening in Wanchai ......... S arrived back with K's mobile, a cold bottle of wine and 3 glasses (bless him!)  He left a voice message for The Smoking Man.

That would be the same Smoking Man who while in the midst of a dodgy drunken afternoon/evening in Wanchai was ignoring all calls on his mobile from unrecognized numbers - which of course K's was! After about 30 mins I sent him a SMS, telling him it was Mia and please call this number now, S had locked us all out.

Within in a minute he had called, very drunken, very amused and spoke to S who offered (bravely) to come into Wanchai and collect the spare keys. But no The Smoking Man is my hero, he dragged himself away from the not totally unwanted attention of a young lady and made his way to my place (no doubt giggling all the way).

He arrived, let us in and we then all spent the next 5 hours talking, drinking and eating yummy take out food. In fact a perfect evening. I couldn't have planned it better if I had tried.

Only other hicup with the night was that when we called Chicken on the Run at 9pm we were told they had run out of CHICKEN! So we reverted to plan B, which in fact turned out to be an excellent plan and called the delicious Malcom at Jaspas and they sent over some ribs.

A good good night.

Let me know if I can pop in and drop off something.

Well, it depends what the 'something' is!

can i just please ask that you spell it "jaspas" and not "jaspers"? just take a look at HUGE sign outside of the restaurant. just a request (unless it's some cute inside joke thing that you do) personally it's a bit annoying since you are seemingly advertising for them as well. get it right please!?!?!

Oh dear oh dear, well if it means that much to you I will change it. Hope the rest of my spelling mistakes don't upset you this much!
