A wheelchair user caused traffic chaos on a US Interstate after he ended up on it by mistake.
Thomas Williams Jr. of Milwaukee, was reported to police after being spotted driving at 6mph on Intestate 43.
The 73-year-old told a sheriff's deputy he was on his way to a doctor's appointment and that his lift hadn't arrived to collect him.
The sheriff's deputy escorted the man to the next exit ramp and gave him a warning, says the Journal Sentinel Online.
Interviewed later by a local television station, Mr Williams said he'd taken a wrong turning. "I just thought it was a good way to get home. I didn't know I was on the interstate."
Williams said he assured the sheriff's deputy he wouldn't venture onto the freeway again. "I'm not getting back on the freeway. No, no, because I don't want to go to jail."
Discombobulated: To be thrown into a state of confusion.
