Caught the tail end of a BBC program early this week, 50 things to do before you die a list as nominated by BBC TV viewers.
I realised that I've been lucky enough to do quite a few of them already, these are things that some people dream about doing!
Other things on the list don't interest me, for example jumping off a bridge with an elastic band tied around my ankles for fun!
But there were quite a few that I'd like to do, anyway here is the list in full. I've bolded (is that a word?) the one's I've done and turned purple the entries I'd like to do.
1.Swim with dolphins
2.Scuba dive on Great Barrier Reef, Australia

16 Hopefully next month.
That will take care of half the list. :)
The rest will hopefully happen with time. Well, except for the concorde trip that is.
I would personally add "51. Being completely at peace, if only for a moment."

Joyce, well looks like your going to have a busy year then :)
John, good luck with the space flight!
michelle,
Boring? I agree mountineering may be fun, but it isn't everyone's sport of choice. But if you have never flown a fighter jet, or watched wild animals in the native homes, or have wandered through the ruins of a town that is thousands of years old, then you really don't know what you are missing.
Just because something doesn't have the adrenalin rush you are looking for doesn't mean that it is cor couch potatoes. But I would take bungee-jumping or going on a safari over mountain biking any day.
Mia,
Russia is already offering space flights to multi-multi millionaires. There are companies that are already planning space flights for the general (rich) public. It shouldn't be too long before it is available for folks like us.
John
Michelle, I've been wanting to reply to your comment since first thing this morning, it's just been one of those days!
The list wasn't made for anyone to follow, it was made by a huge number of people it's their list of dreams.
We are all different and have a range of opportunities.
For a mother or father of 3 living their life on a council housing estate who doesn’t know where she/he will find the next weeks food money from, her/his dream of escaping to a paradise island, seeing wild animals in their native habitat or visiting amazing wonders of the world, is just that, a dream of doing something different.
You obviously are very lucky in life that you can spend time doing action type activities that you love, some people don’t have the finances or opportunity to do the same.
I echo the point made above by John, just because some people don’t only enjoy getting an adrenalin rush from their activities doesn’t mean they are boring!
John, right, just need to win the lotto then I’m set for number 28 then! :)
