Bevelled

Been a busy few days, friends in town and yesterday had lunch with another friend who is just such a 'known' face here in HK it was getting beyond amusing how many people interrupted lunch to say hello to him.
Then watched the rugby at the HKFC last night with my TD&H Scotsman, the first match between Korea and Taiwan was a bit of a one sided event but it gave us time to get warmed up and have a couple of drinks. More people turned up for the 2nd match HK v Japan and in the first half it so could have been anyone's game. 9-12 at half time and we were hopeful for our boys, and yes a tad vocal in our support. But the 2nd half was a different story the HK boys basically just hung in there by the skin of their teeth but were cruelly wiped the floor with by the sumo warriers.
I was surprised to see that the pitch was beveled though and wondering why such a weathly club didn't sort that out, or maybe there is a reason?

Anyway, went on into Wanchai for a couple *ahem* more drinks, Fenwicks was interesting! Then Dusk till Dawn in time for the band to play some old favorites.
Home well and truly pickled by 1am, not a bad Thursday night really.
*sigh* and I have to do it all again tonight.
