Lots of things to say but not quite awake enough to say them........ Apart from....
Isn't it about time airlines start measuring the size of people who are checking into economy long haul flights, and not just their carry on baggage.
They could have an airline seat at the check in desk and if more than 6 inches of your body encroaches on the next persons space/seat (and it's a stranger who doesn't normally get so close to people for 13 hours straight without being introduced) then they shouldn't be flying economy.
Sorry, I'm a little grumpy after a very long flight being the meat in between a very large German man and an extremely large British man.

We missed you Mia, I hope things are ok.
I'm flying out to HK on Friday, and while my husband and I aren't particularly large people, we got an extra seat in economy just so we could spread out a little more (hey, the company's paying for it). If you are a large person it's quite simply the polite thing to do, not to mention it being much more comfortable for you.
(no, no, I don't think *you're* a large person!) :-)
Oh you poor thing, I hope they didn't smell too.
