While out last night someone mentioned that the "Golden Couple" of Brad and Jen had issued an announcement that they had split*, their lives together as a couple is over.
This made me terribly sad, so sad in fact that I demanded everyone was to come up with a couple who had made it through the passing of time with both parties being in the lime light, it was difficult!
My offering was Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward, everyone else offered up pairings which were shot down as they were either newlyweds (clearly too soon to tell) or one or both of the couple had been in a previously marriage before which again I discounted. In the end we had to give up as I sat there wondering if true love exists for anyone. That's what made me sad.

Hang on. What about Bobby Charlton? Isn't he married to one of the Spice Girls, or the Beverley Sisters, or some other singer woman.
No Posh and Becks don't count? He has been shagging all sorts of women, shes only staying with him for the brand name not love. Well thats what I think anyway.
