I don't smoke but too many people that I care about do. I've just heard the dreaded but expected news that a friend of mine has just died. He should have been 33 next month.
But he's dead. Because he was a smoker. Lung Cancer.
So without beating around the bush, these are the facts:
Smoking can kill you and those around you.
Smokers die prematurely since they lose one day of life every week.
Every 5 minutes a smoker dies from a smoking related disease.
Smoking doesn't make you big or hard; in fact, it causes impotence.
After stopping for:
20 minutes - blood pressure and pulse return to normal levels.
72 hours - breathing is easier, energy levels increase.
3 months - erections are harder and sperm count is higher.
12 months - risk of a heart attack is half that of a smoker.
5 years - risk of lung cancer is half that of a smoker.
If you want more reasons, then look around at the people you love, if you smoke near them then you're killing them too.
Discombobulated: To be thrown into a state of confusion.

Not to mention that smoking makes you smell. Stink, in fact. Like a stale ashtray.
