Men

It really bugs me sometimes that just because I'm single, men assume that any interest I have in them is as a love/sex interest. Well just for the record, it is not always the case!! I happen to enjoy the company of men for all sorts of other things than just sex. I love sc-fi, western, great escape type movies, rugby, learning new IT things, gadgets, biographies and lots of other things that men are useful and interesting to talk about with.

I've always had good close friendships with males, in fact I have had 3 men in my life over the years who have meant the world to me. One is in the UK, one is in New Zealand and one is here in Hong Kong. And I love all of them as true friends who I would be there for in an instant and I know they have been there for me. And unlike a lot of my female friends who, when they have settled down with partners drop allegiance's, each of those 3 men would still (and have been recently) be there to give me a hug, a kind/sensible word or practical help when I ask for it.

So, the next time a woman invites you over for dinner or suggests meeting for a drink, a woman who has never suggested anything more suggestive than a chat, then take it at face value. She might not leap on you, you are probably perfectly safe!
And you might just get a nice home cooked meal in exchange for your company.

Update

Well, here we have things from a male perspective ........ sadly it has a ring of truth about it doesn't it.
